- Lalita Prasad, Mannu Mishra, Ratna Saha, Kabita Gowala, Sk. Sameer Ali and Surojit Sardar - Thanks to Marc Gold and 100 Friends these young people are able to continue their education. The funds go to tuition, transportation and books.
- Megha Mazumdar - Thanks to Kevin Barker Sukla Mazumdar's daugher Megha is able to finish her primary education in St.Thomas for Girls, an English medium school. Megha had been attending this school until a financial crisis in the family almost forced her to drop out.
- Guria Gowala - Guria was one of our first students and has always been very motivated to continue her computer studies. After completing a programming course she wanted to try to obtain a college degree in IT. Thanks to Bono Direct Aid Association and Janis Wilkins, Guria is currently attending college and is working hard to make her dream of a degree come true.
- Prasanta Sarkar - Now nine years old Prasanta has been visiting our computer centre since he was five. He lives in one tiny room with his mother and grandmother who could not afford to send him to school. He is now studying in Class 2 in a local English medium school. Thanks to his sponsor Sonya Anderson, Prasanta is also going to an art class offered by Ramakrishna Mission.
- Santu Jana - was unable to afford his school fees but thanks to Barbara Sundquist Santu is continuing his education and has the chance for a good future.
- Lipika Das - also known as Dipika and Deepa (she says she has “tin bhalo nam” - three good names) is seven and lives on the street with her parents. She is a very bright girl who wanted to go to school so much that she insisted that Prasanta give her lessons.Thanks to Alexia Pritchard Lipika is enrolled in Kindergarden and comes to Uddami for lessons in English.
